Damian Norfleet
Interdisciplinary Performer-Composer-Improviser
I am a composer and vocalist (contemporary bass-baritone) with a keen interest in contemporary music and theater.
My art is intimate and focuses on the human condition and inter-communal relationships—with an awareness of shared space, my work seeks to uncover epiphanic moments and prolong them into empathetic experiences.
I strongly believe that art has the power to challenge paradigms; because of this, I regularly engage in artistic activism.
My output creates a safe space for pondering tough questions and exploring tougher answers.
I am fascinated by phonemics, modern mythologies, and mathematics; they often appear in my work.
